Nothing fancy, just love || Styled Elopement {Seattle Wedding Photographer}

A huge thanks to all the incredible people that came together with me to make this dream shoot a reality. We were able to make it happen in a month's time and it couldn't have been more perfect. To my main side kicks Paulina and Caroline, I couldn't have pulled this off without you ladies, thank you for going above and beyond for me and bringing your talent and artistic eye to this shoot. To the guy on craigslist that let me borrow his car and even drove it to us for the shoot, you are a rockstar. To Camille and the amazing team at The Dress Theory, thank you for being so accommodating and easy to work with. To my dear friend Rebecca who just started her own calligraphy business, thank you for express mailing the beautiful invites and place settings all the way from Pittsburgh. And lastly, a special thank you to my amazing couple, Spencer and Lindsay for enduring the hot day with us and being so fun to work with. You guys make me fall in love with love all over again.

The concept behind this styled elopement is to simply show people that you really don't need much to pull off an amazing celebration of love.

Rebecca & Rich Married {Destination Wedding Photographer}

Rebecca and I met working at Nordstrom many years ago. One day, we started talking and realized we had a common interest in all things interior design and a spark ignited between us. From there, we began to spend a lot of time together and a strong friendship was formed. Rebecca's friendship to me over the years has meant more to me than I can ever express to her in words. We always tell each other we are cut from the same cloth. Too often we find ourselves finishing each other's sentences or saying something that the other was already thinking. Rebecca has been there for me through some of the darkest and best times in my life. There isn't anything she doesn't know about me and she loves me through it all. She has the biggest heart and constantly lifts me up, supports me and makes me want to be the very best I can be. She truly is a beautiful soul she is and if you've ever had the privilege of meeting her, I'm sure you can agree.

After any wedding or portrait session I have, Rebecca is always one of the first people I share sneak peeks of my work with. She is one of my biggest fans and has been a constant support that I couldn't manage without. Working for friends is not something I actually like to do because I am fearful of it coming between us. After a long phone conversation only 6 months before her wedding, I knew it was not only something I wanted  to do but something I had to do and my friends, I am so glad I did. Reliving this day through edits and blogging has brought me so much joy. I have cried many happy tears for my sweet friend and her hubby Rich and I am so excited to finally share a little bit of their special day and celebration of love with all of you. Rebecca's eye for things is impeccable and the hard work she put into this day that she has been dreaming up for years can easily be seen throughout these images. She is an extremely talented lady and I am so grateful that I got to be on this journey with her. It truly was so much fun and I will cherish those memories for years to come.

The love and laughter that Rebecca and Rich share is truly something special. I hope these images make you feel that love.

The Bold, The Brave, and The Beautiful {Seattle Portrait Photographer}

When the idea for this shoot came to my mind, I knew that I wanted to do it in a clean space. I didn't want anything to take away from the heart and soul that I was trying to capture. Thanks to some lovely connections I've made in the industry, I was able to snag this insanely beautiful studio space at the Bemis Arts Center in downtown Seattle.

It was important to me that this personal project challenged me in a different way. As artists, we can sometimes feel stagnant and crave something new to stimulate our senses and inner self. Every once in awhile we need to do something outside of the norm to remind us why we do what we do, to progress in and strengthen our craft.

The concept behind this shoot was to highlight female empowerment. Every single individual that contributed to making it happen is a Girlboss. I am so incredibly lucky to know so many extraordinary, inspiring, intelligent, brave, talented, strong, and exquisite women who never settle and strive to turn their dreams into living realities. They push themselves through the sweat and the tears, they rise above any doubt of achieving greatness and when they slip and fall, they get back up and try, try again.

Paulina is an amazingly talented florist who just launched an online floral shop in Seattle {mer-cado.co/} and will continue to work two jobs until she gets to where she wants to be. Sydney is a young and aspiring fashion blogger and model {sydneybright.com} who continues to grow and push herself to achieve her dreams. These women are only two of the many I have come to know and admire.

As empowering women, learning how to stand on our own two feet is important. Setting goals and meeting these goals is important. Creating an identity for ourselves and being who we want to be in this world is important. I hope you enjoy this different side of me and that these words, although simple, inspire you and encourage you to not let fear impede on your true potential of becoming something great. Follow your dreams beauties.

"Here's to strong women
May we know them
May we be them
May we raise them."
