Sometimes you just need to shoot for you. This styled bridal shoot was such an enjoyable experience and I couldn't be happier with the results as well as the relationships that were formed because of it. I had the pleasure of collaborating with not one, but two, amazing business owners in the Pittsburgh area. A very special thanks to glitteR & gRit (www.glitterandgritpgh.com) for providing the wardrobe and Mt. Lebanon Floral (www.mtlebanonfloral.net) for two stunning bouquets and a head piece. I could not have pulled this off without your contributions and helpful advice. I highly recommend both business to any bride-to-be! I would also like to thank my amazing make-up artist and friend Laura Vojtko for always blowing me away with her talent and willingness to help me out whenever I need her. And lastly, I of course could not have achieved any of this without my gorgeous friend, model and bride-to-be Kimmi Helscel.
My whole idea behind this shoot was to create a juxtaposition of sorts with a winter theme. I love the mix of nature with the simplicity and touch of glamour of her gown and faux fur stole. Her tattoos add a creative and artful role into the idea as well. Ultimately though, my main goal is to hopefully reach out to the alternative bride who isn't afraid to go out on the limb and be a little non-traditional.
I hope you enjoy scrolling through all of these beautiful, luminous images. Thanks so much for stopping by!
